At IFA 2026 in Berlin, smart kitchen brand Typhur unveiled the Sync Air Fryer — billed as the world's first air fryer with a built-in wireless, NIST-verified temperature probe. Rather than relying on preset timers, the probe tracks internal food temperature in real time and automatically stops cooking once the target doneness is reached, promising consistent results without manual checks or contact thermometers.

The standout Smart Whole Chicken Mode inserts the wireless probe and runs a two-stage cook: a lower-temperature roast for even internal cooking, then a higher heat phase to crisp and brown the skin — hands-off from start to finish. The unit offers an 8QT capacity for family-size batches and nine presets (Air Fry, Roast, Dehydrate, Bake, Reheat, Preheat, Wings, Fries, Bacon), with app-based monitoring so users can follow progress from a phone.

Typhur also ships its Smart AI cooking assistant: Typhur AI reads the ingredients, plans the recipe, surfaces nutrition insights, and pushes step-by-step instructions straight to the appliance. The Sync Air Fryer joins the earlier Sync Gold Dual wireless meat thermometer in a connected European ecosystem built on sub-1GHz reliability — a clear signal that air fryers are moving from simple timers toward sensor-driven, app-connected precision cooking.

For OEM/ODM manufacturers, the launch underscores where premium differentiation is heading in 2026: integrated probes, AI-guided recipes, and app ecosystems rather than hardware alone. Buyers scaling private-label or branded lines will increasingly expect connected, sensor-aware platforms as the new baseline for mid-to-high-end SKUs.
